About me
I`m Calamidad, or María (as you wish), a 2D artist from Huelva focused on character design with an aesthetic inspired by European fantasy from the 80s and manga/anime from the 90s.
One of my passions is storytelling, both as a Dungeons & Dragons gamemaster and a writing enthusiast. This is something that I have wanted to convey in my illustrations. I try to find a narrative, at the level of its design and the integration of a character or creature into its environment.
Among my influences is not only fantasy, as horror and sometimes eccentric humor have also been part of my development as an artist.
Although drawing has been part of my life, I have been working as a freelance illustrator since the end of 2020.
